But what almost no one understands about zoysia lawn installation is the concept of lawn leveling. We install lawns in most of DFW. But since the search engines love it when we mention them individually, here is a comprehensive list baked right into the middle of the page. We install zoysia grass in Dallas, Fort Worth, Flower Mound, Plano, Mckinney, Frisco, Little Elm, Southlake, Northlake, Grapevine, Keller, Lantana, Prosper, Murphy, Coppell, Highland Village, Allen, Richardson and many other communities around North Texas. Reach out to us because we travel far and wide installing Zoysia.
Is Zoysia Expensive? - Zoysia installs start at $2000. We can have an estima to you in just 24 hrs with our satellite measuring tools.
Will this grow in the shade? - Zoysia has a better shade tolerance than Bermuda. Closely resembling the tolerances of Saint Augustine. If you can give your lawn 3 hours of sunlight then you will have success with Zoysia.
Will you come look at my lawn? - If needed we do provide onsite evaluations prior to installation. You will first be given a satellite inspection so that you will have a general idea of the project cost before we book the appointment.
How can you quote my lawn without coming to look at it? - All of our installations are measured and quoted remotely with the latest satellite imagery and measuring tools. The added benefit is you will have a FREE quote within just a few hours and the project won't be waiting for days just to get a quote.
Do you sell it by the square? - Sorry we do not have a storefront where you can come in and shop for a few squares.
Can you patch a small section? - We do not patch lawns. We install a complete right lawn or complete left lawn, or complete front lawn or complete front and back lawns... but we do not do partial installs within the same section of lawn. The results of a patch job will look poorly and it is our goal to deliver the best lawns to North Texas.
Do I need a sprinkler system? - While Zoysia is superior to most turf types when it comes to drought tolerance, establishing a new lawn is where a sprinkler system is essential. You need to water every inch of new sod daily for the first 2 weeks, and every other day for weeks 3 and 4.
Do I need new soil? - We suggest 1 yard of new soil for every 2 pallets quoted. This should enable enough soil to level the lawn and cover any exposed roots from trees. If you have existing erosion problems or excessive tree roots exposed, let us know when you submit your order.
How long until I can mow the new grass? - If your lawn looks like it needs mowed then go ahead and mow it. Usually around week 4. Take it easy on the lawn for 6 weeks. No baseball games until the roots are established.
How long does it take to install if I say YES today? - 17 days - First, we treat your existing turf to kill its root structure for 17 days prior to installing the new lawn. The second step is the installation. The lawn is completely installed and finished in one day.
Do you deliver just the sod without installation? - No. Currently we only provide Sod with installation.
Do you use a rototiller or remove the old grass? - We kill the root structure and remove the dead lawn debris prior to installing new Zoysia. Tilling is done in selective areas only to achieve soil grade.
Will you grade the dirt? - That is a big Yes. This is the most important part of taking a good install and making it a great install. Our soil grade work will make your neighbors stop and ask what kind of grass that is and who installed it.
How do I water my new lawn? - 15 minutes per zone. Once daily for weeks 1 and 2, then every other day for weeks 3 and 4.
Will you check out my sprinklers when you install the lawn? - Our crew will adjust your sprinkler head height and nozzle direction during an installation.
How many Square Feet come on a pallet? - 450 Square feet come in a pallet of Zoysia.
Is there a minimum amount for installation? - There is a 3 pallet/ 1350 Square Feet minimum.
Is there a delivery only service so I can install myself? - Not at this time.
How do I measure my own lawn? - Here is a great tool we would like to share which allows you to measure your own lawn. You are looking for the Square Footage of the turf. Click Here
Do you guarantee the sod? - We provide 4 squares of sod per pallet if you get a few that don't make it past 30 days. ometimes the grass blades will look dormant or yellow while the roots remain living. Waiting 30 days will let you know if the sod is dead or if you simply have stressed out grass blades. Sod is cut fresh and delivered within 48 hours and should be installed fairly quickly. It is up to you to keep it alive and watered appropriately.
Do you deliver or install in my area? - We deliver and install to most of the DFW area.

(This salt tolerance allows for application in areas with less than optimal water quality.) Cavalier Zoysia also resists many insects and diseases, including fall army worm and Rhyzoctonia blight. It has also shown significant resistance to the tropical sod webworm and the tawny mole cricket. Ranked as one of the top zoysia in the NTEP (National Turfgrass Evaluation Program), Cavalier Zoysia is an excellent choice for home lawns, golf course fairways and tee boxes, parks and sports fields.
Cavalier is a fine textured Zoysia grass also developed at Texas A&M University. It works excellently on home lawns, golf course fairways, tee boxes, and highly visible areas. Not as shade tolerant as St. Augustine but is superior to most Bermudas.
